The clouds of yesterday hung on through the night. Looking at the forecast and the radar maps, it was evident that the rain would arrive and stay for the day. So as tomorrow looks to offer some sun and no rain, at least in the morning, we decided to stay in our nice anchorage and declared this as a layover day. We want to ride up the Little Tennessee in clear weather to see the Great Smokey mountains in the background - really the reason we came this far.
And a good day it was. It was good to sleep in and enjoy a leisurely breakfast - nice to savor the fresh brewed coffee with my half bagel - with extra chunky PB and Smucker's strawberry jam - yum.
There was a whole new set of NFL games to watch today - so we enjoyed a number of them. So as you can see from the photos below, the rain came and we were snug in our very protected and secluded anchorage - all by ourselves.
It was a much needed sit and be still day.
Steaks on the barbie were delicious and another cup of coffee with the last football game of the day was a good way to end the day - So you know it is time to say .....................
Good Night and May God Bless
