The night got cool again but - but only down to the mid 50s. The sun was bright and warmed the day nicely. High 70s by mid-day. Another fine day.

We had a great day going to Don Pedro State park. It is only able to be accessed by boat. Remember the boat ferry we passed in yesterday's post? That's how the folks that share the island with the park get to the developed section. Our ride was through a wonderful mangrove stand.
The park is a popular boating destination as you would imagine
A beautiful flowing cactus
The island was interesting and sparse on the upland section
The sea was beautiful in the distance
The beach was awash (pun intended) in sea shells. It was very different than the beaches at Longboat Key that were all fine sand. Very interesting but I don't have the reason. Kind of like the mystery of beaches in Maine that show up on rock bound islands - and the sand is not native to the area.
There were a number of sea birds that were playing with the waves. Always fun to watch them look for whatever each wave brings for them.
And the Admiral and ......
the Captain at the park sign
And one more beautiful cactus.
Our ride back was through a man-made channel (notice the concrete walls) that leads back .......
... to our lovely cove - which is also man-made. But it is really a great spot to anchor.
As the Admiral has prepared a very nice dinner - and we have a good wifi signal from shore so we were able to watch several wonderful episodes of Endeavor on Amazon Prime - it is now night time and so ............
Good Night and May God Bless
