Well the 2025 boating season has arrived and boat is in the water - and successfully transited to Maine as you will see below. And that is the highlight of the season through May 27.
We launched Perelandra on May 2 and traveled to Maine on the route below the next day.
Approaching open water
The day started out with promise of sunshine and mild temperatures. The best thing though was the calm seas. However, it did soon cloud back in and rain at times required rain gear.
We did make it safely to Robinhood Marine. The weather closed in behind us and next day fog and wind settled in for a prolonged stretch. As we had things to do back home and the weather was intent on staying miserable, our time on the boat was only several days.
But the most thankful part is that PERELANDRA was safe and secure for the summer in her proper place!!
Wow... I like the fact that you added a mast to Perelandra... but I think you put it on backwards...;)
ReplyDeleteYes you are correct. You can never trust engineers to get it right, they are too literal. I mentioned to someone in passing that my sailboats at the end of ownership were like having a powerboat with a big pole sticking out of it. Next thing I know PERELANDRA has a big pole sticking out of it. But you will notice the only way to make the boom fit was to put it in backwards.
