The night was mild and bright sun reappeared following last nights beautiful sunset. The wind was again calm and the seas had a small lump left over from yesterday. Temperatures in the high 70s
We only had about 10 miles to go to Camden today. It was a wonderful 10 miles. The day was glorious and the seas were calm.
Here we have just re-entered Muscle Ridge Channel. The Camden hills show off there presence once more today.
Here is the harbor of Owls Head. Mostly lobsterboats - a real working harbor.
And at the far end of Muscle Ridge is the beautiful Owls Head lighthouse.

We head off to hike up Mount Battie that overlooks Camden Harbor.

This last time we recall hiking the mountain was in 2009.

And night has settled over Camden. The schooner next to our mooring is a wonderful photo op - don't you agree?

Was the mountain shorter when you hiked it 10 years ago? Enjoy your summer. We are staying very busy while home for the first summer in years - house, yard, and boat chores - but things are looking good.

To answer your question, the mountain has gotten taller and the scrabble sport more steep, but we were just glad that we can still make it up (and back). Here's to doing it again in ten more years.
