Wow, our first time in Mississippi!
We had a great day. The weather was sunny and it warmed throughout the day. It even reached the mid 60s by the afternoon.
This was our first day of boat tire kicking. The boat was located on Pickwick Lake. This is a lake formed by the dam (see below) on the Tennessee River. We will be passing through here on the Great Loop Trip.
The marina where the boat was located was just up river from the dam. There was ice still in some areas around the slips. But it was going fast. It felt great just to be walking the docks again and getting the feeling of being on the water.
One thing that struck me (again) as we I was looking out over the marina with Faye gazing out was how fortunate I am to have wife that loves boating as much as I do. A lucky man for sure
The boat we looked at is seen here. It was Grand Harbour 57. We liked the size of the boat but in short didn't like the layout and constrution of the boat. But it is a great added piece of reference.
