Day 5 August 1 2017 Tuesday Northeast Harbor
We were away from Holbrook before the sun came up over the trees. The day was glorious without a cloud or hint of a breeze. We booked it for Northeast Harbor to do some hiking. We arrived about 8:30 and we were on the 10:15 bus to star our hike to Pemetic Mtn. The views were wonderful and the day perfect with temps in the upper 70s and a breeze that filled in just enough to make it pleasant.
Acadia is a wonderful spot of which we never tire.
As a reward for our good efforts we needed to partake of some fine lunch. We ate at the Terrace of the Bar Harbor Inn. A favorite spot that we had not visited in several years - mostly because we like the day to be nice when we are there - and as you can see it was perfect.
We returned to Northeast Harbor late afternoon and enjoyed a mild summer breeze that stayed with us until sunset. It was a finest kind day.
