Day 6 August 2, 2017 Wednesday Northeast Harbor

Another wonderful day. The sun was up bright and the clouds we not around just yet. But the fog hung at the mouth of the harbor. Thought it might go away as the day wore on - and it did.

We got the 10:15 bus for Jordan Pond and ended talking with a couple that have sailed on a boat for four years and now have a mooring here in NE. Everyone has an interesting story.

We hiked Penobscot Mountain. I think it has the best views of all the mountains - you can see for your self below..

The reward for our efforts was again lunch on the Terrace in Bar Harbor. It was again one of those days we dream about all winter. Great fun and as it was nearly 3:30 when we finished we did not need any dinner - at two "fer.

The entertainment after lunch was a walk to the Bar. It connects with - wait for it -- Bar Island.
At 1.5 hours either side of low tide you can walk across. We like to go and see the folks that get trapped there and have to get their feet wet getting back. Another fine day
