Day 2 Stroudsburg, PA to Skyline Drive, Luray, Virgina

Day 2 Stroudsburg, PA to Skyline Drive, Luray, Virgina

Day was suppose to clear off but looked real grey from the get go. Yesterday was suppose to clear but it never did - not a good sign for a good day.

We decided we wanted to get in some kind of a hike. We had thought of Tammy Mt that goes up the promontory overlooking the Delaware River Gap, but decided to save for another day.

We chose Hawk Trail Falls - a short trail that was only a mile and a half round trip. it was on the way and we managed not to get rained on. It was about 45 minutes from the Inn.

We then headed for the Shenandoah National Park and the famous Skyline Drive. It has been said to us by a number of folks how amazing and beautiful. The drive has in excess of 40 overlooks. But for us today (see photo below) "if you've seen one you've seen them all". But we stayed at the Skyland hotel about 40 miles into the drive. Hope to get some hiking tomorrow.

PS

An to prove that LL Bean is everywhere I offer the following proof as seen at the Cracker Barrel in Hamburg PA
