The clear sky and still air provided a great day to finish the rivers and get into open ocean. YES!!!
We still had 39 miles to go to get to Mobile and then another 14 to get to the marina.
But first we had to wait for a train at the Mile 14 Bridge - I guess we will let the train pass.
The scenery soon turned to real bayou like country. It was quite interesting
And finally the City of Mobile shows up.
Navy ships here too
The convention center
You can just see open water!!
Getting closer!!
And here it is. It was so interesting how we both felt - it was like getting back home - even though we are 2000 miles away.
Pelicans - real cool
Feels good to have the boat moving in the waves
We stopped at Dog River Marina for fuel and the night
Shrimp boats are docked here too.
It was a great end to a wonderful - but long - segment of the Great Loop.
And looking forward to the rest of the trip.
Rain coming tomorrow - great place to be.
And it is time for a good nights sleep so ......
Good Night and May God Bless
