July Cruise Beginning July 22

Well it is time for a cruise, don't you think? Finally a taste of summer.

We came up to the boat Tuesday July 22. We are going to be cruising with our slip mates Glen and Andrea. They will arrive on Friday so we are doing the Indiantown Isle - then Boothbay circuit.

And you can see why the mooring off Indiantown Island is so delightful.

The next morning it is fitting to enjoy a bagel delight with my coffee.

I needed the good breakfast to support me during our hike of Indiantown Island.

That's a big one. A big what? ..................... Tree! Lauren - you know the correct answer don't you!

My intrepid hiking partner. Admiral Faye.

In the middle of the island there is a spot where there was a major blow down some years ago. The small groups of trees growing back remind me of a gnome village.

The south end of the island is our destination with its wonderful views of Spectacle Island.

We take a ride around the island in the dinghy and see the view of the east side of the island.

The parade at the swing bridge on the way to Boothbay Harbor.

And we have arrived with the Admiral ready to undertake crewing duties - so humble.

A particular reason for coming to Boothbay tonight was Tommy Emmanuel was at the Boothbay Opera House. I was shocked to see him playing in this size venue. But it was interesting that the announcer said his show was "sponsored" by the Muir family - that had the choice seats. Thank you Muir family. In 2019, he was listed by MusicRadar as the best acoustic guitarist in the world. After seeing him live I would have to agree. Even Faye was amazed - as she thought it would be just another of those guitar players that I like.

Boothbay at night is very different - and interesting.

Tommy played a long show - so it is time to turn in.

Good Night and May God Bless
