Today was a lazy and fun, do nothing type of day. The wind picked up over night and buffeted the boat at times through the night and through out the day. No waves in our protected harbor but the boat jerked a few times against its mooring lines. The temperature was a cool 62 degrees in the afternoon with cloud cover.
Our day consisted of planning on where to go next. We have been here a week and it is only about 60 miles to our final destination for the winter in Longboat Key Marina near Sarasota. We thought of going to St Petersburg but there are no beaches or sunsets there. The marina is nice but we asked ourselves, "Is it nicer than where we are?" Since we both answered "No" we decided to stay here another week.
We planned to go for a walk today but the weather really didn't cooperate. (OK we have become jaded already). And the wind made it sound so cold. The sense of being cold was heightened by looking at the temperatures in the FL panhandle - highs in the low forties - and up toward Tennessee where highs are 32 degrees. We are so thankful that we made it across the Gulf a week ago. And temperatures were in the 70s and 80s when we were there. Some change. So my walking today consisted of walking to the marina office to sign up for another week - boy that was strenuous.
This evening Kris and Steve from Caeruleus joined us for coffee and to watch my video of Maine that I shot with aerial drone footage. It is always fun even for me to watch it. It made me miss being in Maine until I remembered that there is a winter storm warning for up to 7 inches of snow. That's why we are here and not there. So since my photos ops were zero today, I thought it might be fun to show you a few photos from summer in Maine.
So as the sun has set here too, it is time to say .......................
Good Night and May God Bless
