Day 356 Gloucester to Newington NH Thursday May 9, 2019

The night was cool and  calm. A clear sky let the sun shine bright all day. Like yesterday, winds were light the several hours then built to 10 to 15 from the north that created a strong chop. Temperatures started in high 30s and made it to low 60s.

Home Sweet Home. The Admiral is very pleased to be back a Great Bay Marina.

We had about 41 miles to go to return to the place our Great Loop trip started. It was a glorious day. The Admiral is out and casting us free just after sunrise.

I was very lucky to capture this wonderful photo of an old dory near the inner harbor lighthouse.

We were soon on to the Annisquam River that cuts through Cape Ann.

And nearly the end of the 6 mi leg of the our journey.

Lighthouse at the north end of  the Annisquam.

Approaching Portsmouth, NH.

Whaleback light house and the newly restored light keepers' house.

Opposite side of the river is Newcastle Light.

The Naval Shipyard old prison.

And we have docked and got fuel

So our day has been a good one to end our trip. I will finish my spreadsheet of information on the trip and have some results to share and some closing thoughts in the next post.

Son Ryan picked us up to return to Litchfield to pick up a car from home.!!!!

Now time for bed - and time to say -

Good Night and May God Bless
