Day 36 Stony Lake to Lovesick Lock Monday June 25, 2018
It
was very cool last night - low forties - nice for sleeping with the covers pulled up tight. The clouds of yesterday gave way to a clear night. We awoke to a cloudless sky and warming sun to take the chill off. There was a strong breeze all day until evening. Glorious day

We did a long run today - a total of 12 miles and 6 of those were coming back down Stony Lake. It was a beautiful run and the lake was more splendid in the bright daylight.
We wanted to have a relaxing day and we also wanted to stop at the only lock on the TSW that is on an island. That is Lovesick Lake Lock. And it was a fine stop indeed. The shots below are taken after we have gone through the lock and are tied up on the upper lock wall
Believe you should able to read the Legend of Lovesick Lake that tells of a young Indian boy smitten with a young Irish lass - who did not return his feelings - and he departs to this lake to be alone with his lovesick heart.
I was able to get the drone up in the air again. These first two shots are looking westerly in the direction we will travel tomorrow.
The lock perched on its own island
The boat tied next to use on the left has serious engine trouble and limped through the lock to spend the night. We are facing back the direction we came - was easier to tie up and view was wonderful from the "back porch"
The sun has set and I will say
Good Night and May God Bless
