Day 113 Paris Landing 3rd day Sunday September 9 2018

Day 113 Paris Landing 3rd day Sunday September 9 2018

The clouds of yesterday stayed over night with on and off rain. We planned to leave mid morning as the initial forecast said it would stop then - but it didn't stop till late in the day.  Temperatures were in the comfortable lower 70s.

As noted above the weather didn't cooperate and since this is such a good spot we just decided to stay here another day. We watch some remaining preseason games and then watched the Denver and Seattle game later in the evening when it came available of GamePass. So a relaxing day was nice.

We did get an email from a young man named Tyler. We met him back in Canada at Kagawong, the small town on Manitoulin Island in Canada in the Northern Channel. We were with Rick and Kris from Eagle One and we had hiked up to Bridal Falls. Luke was there and was on a motorcycle trip from the Toronto area. He was kind enough to take some photos and said he would send them to us. We had not received any word from him until yesterday. Turns out he was in an accident after he left us and is just now on the road to recovery. So it was such a kind thing for Tyler to do to send them to us. We thanked him for sending and sent our best wishes for speedy and full recovery.  So the following photos are from Tyler of us at Bridal Falls

Thanks Tyler.

So the sun has set and it is time to say ............

Go Pats and .......

Good Night and May God Bless

  1. Great memories of Bridal Veil falls - enjoying reading about your trip down the rivers and hoping we have as much luck with locks and weather as you seem to have had overall! Kris & Rick

  2. Nice to see your comment - Bridal Falls was a great stop.

We will admit to being very fortunate regarding our weather and luck with locks.

I will attribute some of our "Lock Luck" to having been traveling ahead of the pack and traveling by ourselves - the lockmasters seemed far more willing to do things like stick us in with tows and letting us float in the chamber that sped things up for them and us.

But here's wishing you great "Lock Karma"
