We left Chattanooga shortly after the sun came up -which is now happening about 7:30 here on the west end of the time zone.

This is the Hunter Art Museum that we hope to visit on our return stop.

We had about 7 miles to go until the Chicamauga  Lock. Our lock luck held again today as we called about 20 minutes out and were able to drive on in and then up and out!

The sun in the above picture is about to be overtaken by the clouds behind us that you can't see in the photo. It is just a little ways up the river and the clouds have continued their march and covered the sky. But it is still warm and the dampening of heat from the direct sun is actually comforting. The Chikcamauga Lake is at first lined with homes - some real mansions. But I didn't come to see other peoples homes so I didn't bother with any photos.  Further up the river becomes far less developed. There is a navigable river, the Hiwassee, that is about 35 miles upriver of Chattanooga. The shot below is of the entrance to the Hiwassee and trees growing in the water at the edge of the channel.

Our anchorage is a beautiful and secluded anchorage of the Hiwasee River just about 2 miles up. The entrance is shown below

Here is shot from inside the cove later in the day. The sun has fought back and driven some of the clouds away - but it looks to be at least a 10 round fight.

After an afternoon of some more bazaar football games - the Patriots was one - it was time to fly the drone. Here are some shots for your enjoyment.

So the night has arrived and the transition from day to night seems to happen almost instantly.

And as it has transitioned it is time to say .........................

Good Night and May God Bless
