Day 166 Pensacola 3rd day Thursday November 1, 2018

The clear sky, like Elvis, "left the building" over night. It rained this morning and tapered off through the day. It was still in the upper 60s.

Today was a rainy day. The wind blew strongly last night but we are nicely tucked into a marina still here in Pensacola. For something different we went out for breakfast at CJs Diner as Jim and Justine had their car. It was a great local spot where Shelley our waitress took right good care of us y'all. (I know that is not proper southern but I figured that being from the north I will be forgiven.)

And OK what would one do after that?  Well the guys needed to go to ....................... two places.............

What could those two places be ?????????????  C'mon guess again.

Getting warmer - you got one right.  Try again .............................

That's IT!!!!!!!!  West Marine and Home Depot - man's best friendly stores. And I have to tell that Pensacola knows how to treat you right - both stores were next to each other and shared a parking lot - now that's the way to plan a layout.

And after the guys two stores where are the girls going?    ........................................ ????

Oh that was too easy - everyone guessed ULTA beauty shop.

And the final. but essential stop was................?????????

Again too easy - Walmart

Back to the boat for a lazy afternoon and then we went to Lillio's Italian Restaurant for dinner.

Back at the boat we called the Eagle One crew, Rick and Kris, and Jim read them their very own "ODE"

A great day even in the rain.

I did promise some photos from the Blue Angels - and here they are.  Remember we are not on the base so some shots are distance - but at times they flew right over head on way back to the flight line.

A most interesting thing of the photos in the location of where I am standing. As you can see it is a spit of land in the beautiful waters of the Gulf. I found it hard for me to comprehend me being in such a place with the Blue Angels flying around.

This is looking to the bay and beach where we were anchored.

Here is looking across to the Naval Air Station

 Here are some neat shots

In a nod to Jim's poetry prowess I will end with my own rendition of prose

As dinner is done I say,
"So are we from a nice long day."
thus it is time to say as the planes fly out of sight ..................................

May God Bless and Good Knight   ......................
