Day 5 July Cruise Warren Island Monday July 20, 2020

Day 5 July Cruise Warren Island Monday July 20, 2020

The night was mild and the wind stayed at a fresh breeze from the south.  The sun was bright most of the day. Temperatures rose to a wonderful high seventies. There was a brisk breeze most of the day that keep the bugs nicely at bay. A rain shower around 5:30 in the afternoon before a nice sunset.

We enjoyed our stop so much at Warren Island we decided to stay another day. Some book reading and just lounging about was very relaxing. We walked around the island again. It really is a wonderful place. I was able to fly the drone and think you will agree that the views from above are very beautiful.

Here we are starting our stroll on the island. We walked around the outside of the island most of the way. Though a little muddy in places, it is really amazing to see how much "land" appears when the tide recedes.

Looking south with Isleboro in the distance.

How did you get here?

A drift wood lovers paradise.

At the south end of the island looking west. Seven Hundred Acre Island in the background

On west side of island looking NW at Camden Hills

Several neighbors enjoying a fine perch and taking in the scene (really looking for lunch.)

The Admiral leading our crew on this fine trek

The camp sites are really wonderfully located and spaced. What a great spot to enjoy a time to refresh and recharge.

In the late afternoon, a rain shower developed. The couple from this sailboat with two preteens have just recently gone a shore for a walk. Why now I do not know as they could see the gathering clouds as well as we. And the rain did come. And they were rinsed thoroughly.

And now for some drone photos.

South end of Warren and the interesting mudflats.

And turning and looking south to 700 Acre Island

After dinner the rain had passed and was able to fly again.

As you can see it is time to wind down the day. So ...........

Good Night and May God Bless
