Day 4 August Cruise Warren Island 2nd day Saturday August 15, 2020

The night was mild and the air was calm until 0200 when breeze came up from NE. Clouds came with the breeze and stayed around until mid afternoon when the sun returned to bring a wonderful day and evening

We stayed at Warren Island today because:

a) it is a wonderful place,
b) the breeze in the morning made it too lumpy to move,
c) we love it here,
d) we could take another walk on the island, or
e) all of the above.

Well if you answered a,b,c, or d you would have been partially correct - and knowing my readers, I am sure that you all answered e - the correct response.

And even though we have spent a number of nights here this year, it never gets old. In fact in our walk today I had the feeling that if I could freeze time this would be the moment to do it.  So as the photos and thoughts from today (and previous visits) will sustain us though this coming winter staying in the cold of New Hampshire, you will have to bear with me through more photos of this most special place.

And just to prove that we love this island walk, we strolled the shore trail to where it leaves the shore to cross over the center of the island and then walked the shore trail back - it even made our walk longer.

This little fellow caught my attention. While I have to give it "A" for effort, I am fearful that living in the stump of a dead tree is not the best prescription for a long and healthy life. I will have to make it a habit to check on my new found friend in future visits.

It did pick a wonderful spot though - don't you think?

This is looking east. If you look closely, (click on the photo to get a better image) in the center of the photo you can our beloved mountains of Acadia and to the left is Blue Hill.

And as another day has slipped away from summer, it is time to say ......................

Good Night and May God Bless
