Day 13 Monday 7/17/17 Somesville

Day 13 Monday 7/17/17 Somesville

The day hinted at maybe being nice without fog. The wind was calm early at sun up but as soon as the sea breeze started the fog came rolling up the sound as you can see from the photos below.
The fog did seem to lighted and several made a venture out but came back. Five out of a dozen DEYC boats eventually left and did fight the fog but all arrived safely at various locations. It did stay sunny in Somesville all day but the fog rolled in finally at evening time.

The nice thing about Somesville, in addition to being a wonderful place and I got a good Wi-Fi signal, is the Explorer Bus comes by the entrance to the dock road. So, after a time of reading and lounging, a dozen of us flagged the 3:48 bus to Bernard for a trip to Thurston's Lobster pound. It was tasty and a fun activity as well. We had the Jumbo lobster roll and it was jumbo. And a I got some of Faye's they were so big. Yes I know what you're thinking "where's the Pic/" Well when they placed it in front of me the last thing I thought of was taking photos. I did get some nice photos of the harbor after I was sufficiently fed. Bernard is a real working harbor as you can see from the photos. A fun day of staying anchored to the bottom.
