Day 110 Green Turtle Bay Marina to Sugar Bay on Tennessee  River Thursday September 6, 2018

The temperature stayed warm and the clouds took over. There was broken clouds at mid day and the afternoon brought a heavy thunderstorm. Temperatures ranged from comfortable 70s to steamy 80s

Our goal was to get on the Tennessee and see some of the "Land Between the Lakes." That is the protected area that extends between the Tennessee and the Cumberland Rivers.  It extends about 50 miles from the Barkley and Kentucky Dams.  It is very beautiful and looks far more inviting than the rivers we were on from Chicago. We only traveled about 20 miles but the location was very remote and removed from being in a nice marina.

There are a lot of very nice anchorages. This are shots of  Sugar Bay.

This is early afternoon - and we were able to read and take in the scene. Notice the broken clouds and it became hot.

Looking out to the way we came in.

The hint of a rain storm was the sun shower showed below.

About 4:00 the sky got real dark and the wind and rain arrived shortly after. Fortunately, there was minimum lightning and thunder.

The rain ended about 5:00 and the rainbow was a wonderful sight in this wonderful location.

We enjoyed dinner and the sunlight faded tonight - so it is time to say ............

Good Night and May God Bless
