The rain stopped overnight. The clouds hung on until mid afternoon. Promise of nice day tomorrow.

We left Fort Loudon Marina around 0800. The Fort Loudon lock was ready for us when we arrived a few minutes later.
A few miles down the river we passed Loudon. It seems to call you to stop but there is no dock facilities for a boat of any size - on we go.
This is the Whitehall Inn. Beautiful grounds. The apparent church building had me stumped as there is little to no settlement near by.
Couldn't resist another shot of the T in the lawn.
We traveled the 55 miles to the Terrace View Marina quite smartly - it is wonderful to be going with the 1.5 knot current. When you are going 8.5 knots through the water, the current is a 3 knot differential by direction you travel - that's a lot over 4 hours.
Some photos of the marina. The restaurant/pub was open as it was Friday night - nice to walk up and have a meal.
As you can see the sun has set so it is time to say ............................
Good Night and May God Bless
