The sky had a few clouds to start - then clouded up with showers - then cleared to a nice warm afternoon. Temperatures were low 60s to low 80s

The sun was looking for some holes in the clouds to rise and shine through as you can see below.
As we were going out the channel the sun was hiding behind the trees
But we found it!!
A short ways down the river was another nuclear plant - thought the cooling towers looked almost like art in the bright sun.
We traveled about 2 hours to reach Chicamauaga Lock. As you can see the day has become cloudy and we had rain showers start in the lock - and yes we drove straight on in.
We arrived in Chattanooga about noon. You can see the sun is out after our ride from the lock of only about 45 minutes. Just up from our marina there is an Ironman competition going on.
And we got there just as the leader was coming through the bike to run transition point.
We wanted to see the Hunter art museum up on the "Cliff." There is a wonderful pedestrian walk via the old bridge that was saved from demolition and convert to a pedestrian only river crossing. Here is a view approaching the bridge
And here is a shot from the pedestrian bridge looking at the pier that we tied to last week - the approach walkway and ramp are underwater account of the rise of the river from the rains of the last week (remember our time in the Little Tennessee?)
And here is the pedestrian bridge
And surprise - surprise, it is being used as a segment of the Ironman Route. And here is one of the leaders again - note the motorcycle following and filming him.
And the view of the Hunter Art museum
And the entrance to the museum
This is in the old Hunter Mansion segment of the museum
And Lookout Mountain is in the lower portion of the window.
The old Hunter Mansion
The United Methodist Church and spire
Three guesses as to the name of this building.
Yup that's right - the Dome Building
Notice the river "walk" is now more like a river splash walk.
And finally. hope you can see the huge number of bikes in the paddock - one for each participant.
Visited with the folks John and Sue behind us on the dock until after dark.
So it is now time to say ............
Good night and May God Bless
