Today we decided to make a good long run of about 55 miles back toward home.
As you can see it is another glorious day. I have to say that this stretch of weather from the start of our cruise in July with Glen and Andrea to today has been the best I can remember.
Approaching Bass Harbor Light
Buckle Harbor where we stayed on way east.
Waving good by - until next year - to mountains of Acadia.
Approaching Stonington
Entering Fox Island Thorofare between Vinalhaven and North Haven. First good view of the Camden Hills.
North Haven
The Sugar Loaves at the west end of the Fox Island thorofare.
We have arrived at our destination of Long Cove Tenants Harbor. Friends said it was a great spot. I have never stopped here as I thought it would be rolly - and it was. Both from the sea swell and passing pleasure boats running up and down the channel. Well a pretty spot anyway.
Night once again has gained the upper hand.
Good Night and May God Bless
