We had planned to spend two days at Holbrook harbor. It was another beautiful day.
Faye and I walked Holbrook Island - part of the state park. As with Warren Island it is only accessible via your own boat. Glen and Andrea rowed and kayaked around the bay.
As you can see it is near low tide
You always can find something new. Here we take a secondary trail that we have not done in the past and what do we find - a marvelous swing. From the moss on the seat, it has been there a long time
This meadow attracts Monarch butterflies, but there don't seem to be any this time.
But wait - further toward the shore here is one now! And there were others.
View of our boats and Castine in the background.
For lunch we take both dinghies and ride up the Bagaduce River. You can see it is about a 9 mile run one way. It was great fun.
The treat at the end of the run was lunch at the Badaduce Lunch stand. Great seafood!!
As you can see we made it back and sunset is once again claiming an end of the day.
So
Good Night and May God Bless
