Day 140 Chattanooga to Nickajack Dam Anchorage Saturday October 6, 2018

Day 140 Chattanooga to Nickajack Dam Anchorage Saturday October 6, 2018

A beautiful day start to finish.  Temperatures were mid 60s to low 90s. Same as yesterday -again. Locals are calling it Hot-tober as it is unseasonably warm - I am not complaining.

We continued our trip back down the Tennessee River. We left out dock around 9:00 am to allow time for the sun to get high to light the mountains of the Rift Valley that we would be traversing today.

Our trip was about 35 miles today so we could enjoy the trip of about 4 hours. It was a beautiful sunny day. On the trip up river the clouds were in the mountains and it was not as sunny as today.

And we were able to get the drone up again today. Here are some of photos taken in the same area above.

And some more photos taken from the boat

For the night we anchored at the spot we stayed at on our way up. It is a nice place about a mile above the Nickajack Dam and Lock. We were all alone when we arrived but had some company join us for the night. There were five other boats. Two were Loopers, including Forever Friday. It was one of three American Tug 34s that were in the anchorage. Can you pick out the same three boats in the photos below?

Have to go watch some more football so it is time to say..........

Good Night and May God Bless
