Day 11 August 2019 Cruise Somesville to Northeast Harbor Friday August 23, 2019

The night was again cool but clear air. The sun was out to start and around most of the day.  The wind was light all day.  Temperatures in the upper 60s

Today we moved about 6 miles to Northeast Harbor. We will be here while friends Jim and Justine are here.

This is leaving Somesville Harbor and heading south on Somes Sound.

This is called Valley Cove. The depth of the water is deep right up to the edge of the St Sauveur Mountain.

We stopped at Southwest Harbor for fuel.  Here we are entering the harbor.

I was told this vessel belongs to GreenPeace. Believe they use to challenge whale hunters.

And we are off heading across to Norheast Harbor. The view of mountains is always a joy to behold.

Entrance to Northeast Harbor

We did some laundry and then headed back into Bar Harbor for some more groceries. There is a market in Northeast Harbor but it is so grossly over priced it is worth make the trip to BAHABA - the local pronounciation.

We are down at the waterfront.

The nice park overlookng the harbor.

And some of the old building of Main Street

Back at Northeast Harbor

And a wonderful sunset as we were watching the Pats play the Panthers from last night. Yea a good cell signal.

So night has waltzed in unopposed, so time to say ...............

Good Night and May God Bless
