The night was again cool from the clear air. The sun was out to start and around most of the day with some clouds at times. The wind was light most of the day with a moderate sea breeze in the afternoon. Temperatures in the upper 60s
Today it is time to head west back toward Robinhood. The weather continued to be beautiful and seasonably cool. You can definitely tell that time is moving along the seasonal continuum.
We said so long to Northeast Harbor for this year.
We passed Bass Harbor Light and took some photos since we were not able to stop there yesterday as the parking lot was full with several folks waiting.
We decided to go to Warren Island via Eggomoggin Reach. In the middle of the reach is the Deer Isle bridge. The sky has become wonderfully clear. It was the perfect back drop for a photo of the bridge
Pond Island Light is located at the west end of the Eggomoggin Reach. The Camden Hills are in the back ground.
This is looking southerly down Penobscot Bay. The view like this never gets old.
To get to Warren Island we need to travel through Gilkey Harbor of Isleboro.
It is another location of an impressive enclave of summer "cottages."
And soon we are entering the harbor of Warren Island. It is a state park that can only be reached by boat.
There are a good number of moorings that make it a great and easy place to stop.
It has wonderful camping and day use sites on the island
We walked around the island that is about a mile around
This looking at the Isleboro ferry landing
And now looking west.
The Camden hills are in the background
The island is a wonderful place to walk
These shots are looking toward the south end of the island.
And the sun light is fast fading. The clear sky will allow the temperatures to drop likely into the 50s. So it is time to put on an extra blanket. So I will say ...............
Good Night and May God Bless
