The night was cool and nice for sleeping. And for the third night in a row the threat of a thunderstorm again that thankfully did not happen. The sun then fog then sun. Then strong NE winds in the afternoon. Temperatures warmed to the pleasant high 70s.

I have a good wifi so you get lots of photos today.
The sun rose boldly this morning as if to say - "I have chased the thunderstorms of yesterday away!!"
It turned out to be a great night for sleeping with the anchor settled firmly in the mud.
We shared this wonderful anchorage with several other boats including Glory Days seen here. Joe and Pat are from RI and have done the ICW 9 times. They plan to take a break this year to be with the grandkids more often.
We started out about 0800 as there was no need to rush to the marina since there might not be a space if I got there too early. As soon as we started the fog came in - made us feel right at home - Maine that is with all its fog.
Here we are approaching Charleston.
And a view of the city.
The waterfront is lined with beautiful homes.
We had to go around to the east of the city peninsula to reach our marina.
And around noon time we were off to see the sites. An interesting sculpture just outside the marina area.
And for the second time in three days, we find that granddaughter Lauren owns another street in town.
Our stroll through the city featured one beautiful home or building after another. The photos do not do it justice.
St Michael's Anglican Church - fortunately it was open. Amazing - and George Washington attended services here.
The adjacent cemetery - it was a most reverent court yard setting.
The First Presbyterian Church - we did not try to see inside.
Makes you wonder where all the roots have migrated to?
The homes were one after another.
The south facing side porches seemed wonderfully elegant yet relaxing.
As you may be able to read, this is the largest single residence in the city. We did not go in this time.
This is White Point park on the end of the peninsula of the City. It was very beautiful.
And while not as old as these homes, this Ford Fairlane was a beautiful old car none the less.
The Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist church was beautiful outside and inside.
The following shots are from walking east on Broad Street.
As grandson Wesley says, "Didn't see that one comin' " NY Pizza seems to be universal.
The Custom House
And cupcakes made us think of the grandkids back home.
Our marina and looking across at the Yorktown aircraft carrier.
And the harbor is a busy commercial port. There are two ships passing here - and note the sailboat that looks like they might be too close.
It is late and now time for sleeping, so.........................
Good Night and May God Bless
