The night was mild but still OK for sleeping and there were a few showers. The sun rose but hazy clouds covered the day. Temperatures warmed again to the pleasant mid 70s.

We decided to stay a second day here in Southport on account of threats of severe thunderstorms associated with deadly fronts moving across the SE; and there not being the best of options for stopping in the miles immediately ahead of us. So time to make lemonade out of the lemons handed to us.
Being Sunday we walked to church. It is always fun to attend a service along the way to meet interesting local folks. Here is one of the many handsome streets along our walk.
After church we walked back to the waterfront for lunch at the Frying Pan restaurant. It was very good. This shot is from their balcony. It looks to the channel that ships transit to get to Wilmington.
The waterfront has some of those photo ops that so many of us like to snap.
Being Palm Sunday the church had an evening Easter Choir presentation that was most enjoyable.
On the way back to the boat we stopped at the home of Robert and Kay, loopers from 2006. This is their boat out front of their home.
Here is Robert and Admiral Faye on his front porch.
And the view he and Kay have enjoyed for 47 years. We had meet them at the Americas Great Loop Cruising Association 2017 fall and 2018 spring rendezvous.
It was great to see them at their beloved home here in Southport
As the night has crept over us again, it is time to say .....................
Good Night and May God Bless
