It was mild again last night - lower 60s - OK for sleeping after usual cool down. Mild and beautiful all day. Warmed up to 78 in afternoon. Short sleeves and shorts all day - Glorious day

Well it was a fine day on the TSW. As the locks didn't open until 10:00 we made a lazy start of it.
We went to breakfast at the Riverview restaurant. Met Perly and Ed, two locals that wanted us to move there. They reminded me of the two old guys on the Muppets - but very nice.
And there are a lot of photos today and a real teaser of a Blues Clues - so let's get started
The main town is on the east side so we walked across bridge to the restaurant.
There were several churches at the top of the hill. I was at first disappointed that the sun was behind them but then got these interesting shots with the sun back lighting the steeples.
Looking across the river you can again see the glorious day it was- the definition of blue sky.
We needed to get our selfies with the Toonie
This shot really shows how big that Toonie is!!
And here is today's Blues Clues
Just what is the tall structure?
Ryan - you get this I am sure, eh? Can you tell we have been in Canada a while, eh?
Clue 1 A dalmatian dog may live here.
Clue 2 Fire fighters use long hoses to fight fires
Clue 3 It is not good to put away wet hoses - especially old canvas ones.
Well, at the top appears to be a bell that was likely used as a fire signal. But the tower is for hanging fire hoses to dry.
This converted flower pot caught my eye at lock 13. Didn't dare ask the details of how it got there.
This is lock 16 and 17. They are both together like 11 and 12 yesterday. You move directly from one lock chamber to another.
Looking back you can see the total rise for both locks - it is a ways.
We stayed on the wall at the top of this Lock, known as Healy Falls
This is the old lockmaster's house. It is now a private home. I met the owner, Gary, and we had a nice long chat on the front porch. His wife's mother bought the house in the 60's and it passed down to them. He, interesting enough, worked on the lock system for nearly twenty years.
Looking up the road embankment for our dockwall location,
And remember the lousy hamburger we had at the Acoustic Grill in Picton? Well I have been longing for a good burger since then. We made a stop at the fine grocery store in Campbellford. Now that's a hamburger!!
And for a special treat I was able to get the drone up today. This is looking at the double locks here.
Looking to tomorrow's journey.
It was a full and wonderful day, so I will say
Good night and May God Bless
