Left Healey Falls around eight as we had no locks until the one in Hastings - lock 18. It was a pleasant ride. With the long stretch of water between locks, there seemed to be more locations of homes and cottages in places. And there we still some nice wild areas with some nice winding stretches to add to the attraction.
Distance to Hastings was only 17 miles so we were through the lock and tied up around 1100.
It is a small town with some nice restaurants and stores, including a nice hardware and a grocery store within strolling distance.
The main street is not very large, but has some nice old buildings, and
one stop light needed for all the Canadian Geese crossing the road - they are everywhere.
Opposite direction from above looking at lock wall with us and Contentment, boat that we were with in Campbellford.
Across the river there is a very nice municipal marina. Has some good size boats.
And for today's "I Spy" something in the sky - do you seen it?
At first glance I thought it was a large bird, but it is a kite riding nicely in the breeze.
The Admiral looking over the fleet.
And for today's second "I Spy," how many, "they are everywhere," Canadian geese captured in the photo
While you are counting, I will say
Good Night and May God Bless
