Well if I had to go home right now I would be happy. We had such a full and wonderful day that what we have seen through today I would be able to say I loved Georgian Bay. So let me tell you why today was so good.

We again only traveled about 11 miles. We worked our way into the beautiful anchorage on the east end of Wreck Island. We were the only boat here - ahhhh. The course was again through the twisting and winding, but well marked small boat channel.

The course to the east end of Wreck Island is less well marked and the entrance, below, is guarded by some fine rocks that could easily at another notch on the list of wrecks on Wreck Island, if one is not careful. But we made it nicely in as you can see.

 All by ourselves - priceless.
Wreck Island is part of the Massasauga Provincial Park. The park is mostly islands in the surrounding area. There are only a few hiking trails and Wreck Island has one - and thus one of the big reasons we came here.
The hike was only about 1.5 km -see I'm adapting to the Canadian way - but it was very much worth the effort. The geology was very interesting.

These pools were supposedly from wearing of water running under the bottom of the glacier of the ice age.
This rock was supposedly brought from a distance spot and deposited here.
They even had nice stone information markers.
Then for lunch we went to the world famous - or so they say - Henry's Fish Camp Restaurant - It is an icon in this area. It was closed last season as the elderly owner said he couldn't find enough help to run it. A local couple has bought it and reopened it. I am so glad we waited a year for our trip!! The restaurant is on Frying Pan Island - apply named, eh? - and thus the only access is by boat right? Wrong - you can get here by seaplane - there was one that landed while we were here. Now that is a date for someone that wants to be creative.

I had the pickerel which I think is something different than the pickerel back in New England. It was good and supposedly all fish is caught in the area. I ordered mine battered which is the traditional way. Why buck tradition? It even came with a side of very good beans.

We then stopped at the little island store around the corner for some gas. At $2.77 a liter I am glad that I am not filling a large boat here.

And finally back at the boat we had a salad for dinner - after a very relaxing, and well earned. nap - and the Captain made the Admiral a smoothie for dessert.

There was even time to fly the Mavic.
As there is no sunset photos tonight, I will start with an aerial of last night's sunset. The remaining are of Wreck Island.

A fine day if ever there was one. So as it is getting dark, I will say............

Good Night and May God Bless
