Day 62 Collins Inlet to Killarney Friday July 20, 2018

Day 62 Collins Inlet to Killarney Friday July 20, 2018

The night was mild and clouds stayed away. Clear day with temperatures in the mid 70s. Increasing wind from the south arrived after we were in Killarney. Nice Day

Before we move on to Killarney, here are come shots of Collins Inlet from last night from the Mavic. I am not sure about you but the views and pictures from that little bird are as amazing as the landscape itself.

The ride down the remainder of Collins Inlet was easy. We entered open water and had about 4 miles to run to hit the entrance to Killarney. There was some chop up from the continued southerly breeze that lasted through the night. We sped up to about 10 knots and the boat rode much  better. The sun was out and shown nicely on the mountains behind Killarney. A very nice sight indeed.

The approach to Killarney is guided by the lighthouse below.

Here is the entrance to the channel that is the "harbor" of Killarney

After we fueled up (which wasn't bad when you take the US exhange discount) we strolled around town. This is Main Street

The water front is the claim to fame here
 Grand Banks rendezvous.

 A forgotten boat.
The general store - that had a nice stock of things and was not as expensive as we had been led to believe.

The window of the General Store.

There as a new set of docks on the south side of the harbor. Here we are with fellow loopers Rula Bula. They are from Green Bay so they are nearly home - they have mixed emotions.
A good day of back in civilization - all through there is no Super Walmart - it was nice. We will stay here two days to let the forecast wind pass by.

So I will say....

Good Night and May God Bless
