Day 61 Bad River to Collins Inlet - Anchorage at mile 58 east end Thursday July 19, 2018
The night was cool and clouds stayed away Cool evening with nice temperatures for sleeping. (And for those that are reading every post and thus may be curious, I was able to retain my share of the covers last night). Glorious clear morning that
later was filled with the some fluffy clouds. The breeze
didn’t develop until after noon but we were well protected by then.

Leaving Bad River was easy - and we left relatively early so the predicted increase in wind did not have chance to make the exit uncomfortable. We only had to travel about four miles before we again turned northerly to find and enter Collins Inlet. The name is some what a misnomer in that Collin Inlet runs about 11 miles in an east to west line. It appears to be a split in the rock formations that forms a river like passage.
This is the approach in the islands guarding the easterly entrances.
This is the turn to port that starts the Collins Inlet
This is at the west end and is our anchorage. The main channel is to the left side of the island viewed to port.
It was another fine day on the Loop, so, I will say .....
Good Night and May God Bless
Isn't the natural beauty up there just unbelievable? So glad you are getting to do this. Keep enjoying your many blessings, as do we.

Hello to crew of Diva Di
ReplyDeleteYou are correct that is amazing here. The trip has exceeded our expectations in every way. It is a blessing that we truly appreciate. We look forward to "what's around the bend"
And in the same manner we are glad you are enjoying your trip to Maine - and it gives us a twinge of longing for our home waters - but following your trip is a great way to feel "back home."
Continued safe travels and fair winds
