Day 56 Parry Sound to Snug Harbor Saturday July 14, 2018

Clouds remained over night.  The clouds actually kept the temperatures very mild but still fine for sleeping. High cloud cover all day - threats of showers but only a sprinkle a few times. Sun out in the afternoon. There was a small breeze in the afternoon and comfortable in the mid-70s again and short sleeves and shorts. The breeze created some thick haze in the early afternoon (just for a little while) - reminded me of Maine - a nice day.

We went looking for breakfast but the planned stop of the cafe on Main St was thwarted when we arrived at 8:00 to find it didn't open until 9:00 - oh well. We went on a nice walk around town and connected to the rail trail that followed the shore back to the marina. It led back by a nice beach where you can see that Batman left his hat yesterday while visiting the area to rid mankind of yet another impenitent crime spree. Is it me or does this hat look a little small for a super hero?

I love the penguins from the movie Madagascar so the name on this boat nearly made me laugh out loud.

We did some clean up and we set off about 10:30. There were thick high clouds and colors were very muted as you will see in the photos. But even still it was really a beautiful ride of about 12 miles.

This is named canoe canal - for good reason. But it is wide enough to pass a boat that we had to do.
Snug Harbor is indeed snug. As you can see we are landlocked from the wind and will sleep peacefully tonight.

Time to make the hamburgers for dinner - yum

So I will say ..................

Good Night and May God Bless
